GRAHAM HADFIELD

Graham Hadfield is an award-winning composer working across feature films, television series, and documentaries. His music often combines acoustic instruments and manipulated organic sounds to create emotionally charged and visceral scores.

Recent features work includes Hinterland the critically-acclaimed drama, directed by Harry Macqueen, featured in the book New British Cinema; the romantic comedy One Crazy Thing which opened the East End Film Festival; the supernatural thriller Crow directed by Wyndham Price, starring Tom Rhys Harries and Terence Stamp;  and the award-winning thriller Containment for which Graham won an award for best score.

Recent television work includes Thanks for the Memories serialised from the book by Cecelia Ahern; the BAFTA-winning Joe all Alone, a BBC series adapted from the book by Joanna Nadin; and Samuel Beckett & André the Giant, a comedy directed by Ben Palmer for Sky Arts' Urban Myths series.

Documentary work includes the highly acclaimed BBC film Belsen: Our Story, praised by reviewers and audiences alike; the huge upcoming series Deep Oceans; the landmark Galapagos series for BBC One; David Attenborough Meets President Obama for BBC One; the Emmy-winning, epic virus documentary Our Secret Universe: The Hidden Life of the Cell.

Graham was also score producer for Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol on the comedy feature The Last Right, winner of the Audience Award at the Cork Film Festival.

Graham studied music in London gaining a PhD in composition and film scoring at the National Film & Television School supported by scholarships from The PRS for Music Foundation, The Alan Hawkshaw Foundation and the prestigious Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
